D
escribed as an art of controlled movements, pilates offers a number of both physical and mental benefits when practiced regularly.

The beauty of Pilates is that anyone, at any age can get started. The benefits of Pilates can be experienced in daily life, in all forms of sport, when gardening and more.

Remember that the mind/body connection and focus on breathing takes time to learn, but once you get it that is one of the best parts of the workout! Private sessions usually allow you to learn these skills more quickly than in a group session due to the individual focus available.

All new students are required to fill out and pass a physical readiness questionnaire (PAR-Q) prior to beginning any Pilates instruction. The PAR-Q is a way to ensure that you are physically capable of beginning a regular exercise routine.
